The last apple of the year has arrived - we just picked 72 bushels of Goldrush. They really benefited from the long sunny fall, they are blushed and very sweet. They are a bit unlike any other apple - they are very firm, and intensely flavorful - both tart and sweet at the same time. They are great to eat, they are great to cook with, and they store for months. They aren't much to look at, especially after a wet summer like this when they get a little blotchy, but bite into one and you are in for some incredible flavor! In the fruit stand as long as the weather allows us to keep it open, get 2 bags they keep!
