One of a kind olive piecework tote. Made by us, this tote features olive green Horween cowhide sewn by hand. Pieced together using natural edges of the hide. Each side has its own unique pattern (see pictures).
10" wide, 10.5" tall, 4.75" deep. When closed, top of bag is 14.5" wide.
Features adjustable handles that cradle the load, our signature hand stitching, and solid brass hardware. The leather smells delicious, and is oiled for a gorgeous pull-up (changes color when bent). Very easy to take care of- scuffs and scratches rub out, and the leather is naturally water resistant.
We condition the leather with our own blend of oils and local beeswax, so it is water resistant and can be worn out in any kind of weather!
Leather is a natural product, and each piece we work with has a slightly different grain pattern. We carefully lay out our patterns to showcase the beauty of all parts of a hide, which results in bags that are truly one of a kind.
Our signature hand stitching is informed by our study of shoemaking. It involves hand punching each hole with a very sharp diamond point awl, then sewing with two needles at once, joining the pieces together seamlessly. As a result, the insides of our bags show little or no stitching, and feature clean, crisp lines that are just as beautiful as the outsides. We take great joy in creating bags in which every stitch is intentional and every inch is thought out!
We strive to combine traditional craft and modern design to create bags that are timeless, functional, and will last a lifetime.
