One-of-a-kind destroyed 1.5" Wide Handmade Leather Belt

Made entirely by hand by Crystal, and distressed/destroyed so each belt is unique and one-of-a-kind.

Crystal took one of our thick, 10-12 ounce bridle leather hides and used a variety of methods to distress the leather. First, she sanded it, then she used rocks to imprint the leather with distressed markings. Then, she hand dyed over the entire hide, creating a mottled appearance. After, she hung the hide up and dripped and splattered leather dye onto it. Finally, she rubbed off the excess dye, let the hide dry, and sealed the dye.

All belts in this series are 1.5" thick and are made with nickel plated brass buckles.

We condition the leather with our own unique blend of oils and local beeswax so our belts are water resistant. Five holes spaced 1" apart.

HOW TO FIND THE PERFECT-FIT BELT:

1. Lay your old belt flat on a table with the buckle end lined up with a tape measure.
2. Measure the length of the belt to the hole you most commonly wear (include the length of the buckle in your measurement).
3. Place an order for a belt in that size. (For example, if your belt is 36" to the hole you use most often, place an order for a 36" belt. A 36" belt has holes at 34", 35", 36", 37", and 38". See above diagram for an example of a 36" belt.)
4. In general, we find that the proper size belt tends to be 4 inches longer than a man's pant size. For example, if your husband wears size 32 pants, a 36" belt will likely fit. Please double check your measurements, and send us a message if you have any questions.
