Our newest backpack design! These mini backpacks are made entirely by us and are sewn by hand in our leather shop in the Finger Lakes Region of NY. They are made from luxurious, water-resistant Horween Chromexcel steer hide tanned in Chicago.
At its widest points, the mini backpack is 8" wide, 12" tall, and 1 3/4" thick. The backpack closes with two antique brass snaps, and features all solid antique brass hardware. The straps are adjustable.
Backpack features a large back pocket on the back side of the pack.
We condition the leather with our own blend of oils and local beeswax, so it is water resistant and can be worn out in any kind of weather!
Leather is a natural product, and each piece we work with has a slightly different grain pattern. We carefully lay out our patterns to showcase the beauty of all parts of a hide, which results in bags that are truly one of a kind.
We strive to combine traditional craft and modern design to create bags that are timeless, functional, and will last a lifetime.

... the artisans behind under the tree leather goods, and the farmers behind under the tree farm.
We live and work on our beautiful fruit farm in the rolling hills of the Finger Lakes region of New York State. During the growing season, we are farmers by day and craftspeople by night.
